Rock to return at Wrestlemania 22? Wrestlemania 22 Celebrity Rumors,Blog Update

First off expect a new look and more features to be added to this blog around the time that Wrestlemania 22 tickets go on sale. The following news is from pwtorch.com

The Rock told Freezedriedmovies.com that he may be at WrestleMania next year, but not wrestling in a match. He said his heart is still in wrestling. His next big movie release is "Doom" on Oct. 21, which means he'll be doing the media interview rounds again

Although all online talk of the "big celebrity" at WrestleMania 22 is focused on Eminem (for a rap battle or tag match with John Cena) and Jose Canseco, no definitive decision has yet been made.

Another Austin vs Hogan Update-- Buildup to start on Raws return to USA Network?

Credit: PWInsider.com

There was a brief interview in the Ottawa Sun yesterday with Hulk Hogan. The main highlight of the interview was Hogan speculating that could work a match against Steve Austin at next year's WrestleMania. "I don't know where his head is at with wrestling," said Hogan.

As previously reported, there is a lot of backstage talk about a Hogan-Austin match at WrestleMania next year.

Take the following as pure speculation, but it is a very interesting scenario

Thanks to Ryan Morgan for the following:

The talent list for the "Return of RAW on USA Network" is listed as follows on Ticketmaster.com: WWE Champion John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, the return of Triple H, Mick Foley, Mr. McMahon, Shawn Michaels, Shelton Benjamin, the Big Show, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair, Intercontinental Champion Carlito, the Masterpiece Chris Masters, Edge, Kane, Lita, Tag Team Champions Hurricane and Rosey, the Heart Throbs and many more. CARD IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE!

I am guessing they had to advertise the Heart Throbs to get people to pony up big money for that show. Seriously, we already knew about the return of HHH, but they better deliver Hogan and Austin if they are advertising them on Ticketmaster. It would actually make sense. What better show to start the angle towards the rumored Hogan-Austin WrestleMania match than the first one on USA?
